ISO/1920

ISO = Isolation (also a critical photography variable) / 19 = Covid - 19 / 2020 = Already the strangest year of many of our lives. Together... ISO/1920 is a dramatic Portrait / Photo series I put together as the early days of the Pandemic set in. As the call for safer at home, and more and more isolation set in I felt a need to document what I thought would be among, if not the most historic moments of my life. A point where I experienced a range of emotions from loneliness, to confusion, and uncertainty on a level I've never known. I assumed there had to be others dealing with a similar situation. Obviously having no idea what 2020 had left in store for us all as the days turned to months and seemingly everything bubbled over, from racial injustice finally taking it's place in the communal dialogue to an election seemingly growing more and more important by the day. 2020 rapidly became a year for the ages. With that I wanted to be sure I wasn't so wrapped in the moment or my feelings I forgot to document it. Not just the facts of it but the underlying emotions of life in 2020. Shot entirely Covid safe, I lit empty door frames and stood 10+ feet away as the subjects entered the frame from the far end of a tele-photo lens I captured what I hoped would be a time capsule, of a time such as these. This is the trailer for the forth coming Portrait / Photo-series. I hope you will enjoy them both.
